It's my son Keanu's Birthday this weekend..I asked what he wanted for his birthday.. I'm thinking in my head, he wants a psp3 or maybe the new iphone 4? possibly an Ipad? Video games for the x-box and kinect?? Nope.. He tells me he wants to go to San Francisco and go to "The Hundreds" Which is fine with me.. a little pricey for Urban wear gear but pretty cool and uncommon so I know why he wants to go. He says that he wants to get a couple of hats, maybe a hoodie.. and shoes.. Again, i'm totally fine with his Birthday trip.. But its after that kinda got to me.. He's turning 13 he wants to take him and a couple of friends to SF to go shopping then says.. after the Hundreds we can have everyone meet up at Hooters near Fishermans Wharf... as if it was just a normal spot for all of us to meet at. Ummm yea.. this is something I have to think about...
My crazy sister is all for it.. thinks its cute and hilarious..wants the ENTIRE family to meet up there.. I don't know... I'm kinda iffy on going to hooters.. but then again.. it really isn't such a big deal.. a bunch of average chicks in high shorts and push up bras...But still... lol.. we'll see.
Jrod is growing up to be a VERY handsome young man.. and I'm glad Mike is there for him being a positive male role model.
3 months ago, Jrod was almost failing in 3 of his classes...
thanks to Mike and SUE.. his grades have gone up! We got the report card yesterday.. I'm soo proud of him.
Mike even had a talk with him... Usually when Mike and Jrod talks I kinda let them be.. that way they can have the Man to Man talks...
but yesterday when they were talking.. I overheard Jrod say to Mike.. You've done more for me than my dad has...
It brought tears to my eyes hearing that.. kinda sad but happy feeling.. sad.. because its sad that his real dad couldn't do the simplest things for him...
Happy because him and Mike have a unique bond.. I think Mike has a soft spot for him cuz he sees himself in the things that Jrod goes thru.. and he feels his hurts and pains..
The TANK is about to turn 13.. I think this year is gonna be a complete turn around for him..He's even expressed his interests instead of doing MMA he wants to go into wrestling.
He said he's choosing wrestling cuz its gonna condition him when he gets back into football.. I told him as long as his grades are good.. I'm supporting him in any activity he wants to do :)
